How to Create Traceable Music Using A.V. Mapping

Prerequisites

Before diving into the process, ensure you have your music file ready for upload. A.V. Mapping’s platform is user-friendly and requires no technical expertise in blockchain or music production.

First, create an account with A.V. Mapping to register your music on the blockchain.

  • Step 1: Visit the A.V. Mapping website and click on “Sign Up.”
  • Step 2: Provide your email and password to create an account. This account will be your gateway to accessing A.V. Mapping’s traceability features.
  • Step 3: Check your email inbox for a confirmation link, click on the link, and your account is good to go.
  • Step 4: Log in to A.V. Mapping, click on your profile at the rightmost corner of the dashboard, and choose ‘Musician Playground.’
  • Step 5: Fill in your personal information, as some of this will be necessary for attributing your created music.

Uploading Your Music

  • Step 6: Once done, navigate to the “Upload Music” section.
  • Step 7: Select your music file and upload it to the platform. A.V. Mapping supports various formats, including WAV and MP3, for your convenience.

Fill in your music information

  • Step 8: After uploading, you’ll be prompted to fill in the information of your music file. This includes details like the title, artist name, and any relevant descriptions.

Blockchain Registration

  • Step 9: A.V. Mapping integrates with Numbers Protocol to register your music to Web 3.0.
  • Step 10: Select ‘Release it on Web 3.0’ to ensure immutable tracking.

Check platform contract

  • Step 11: Thoroughly read and agree to the contract terms, then click “Upload.”

Subscription plan & payment

  • Step 12: Select the subscription plan suitable for your need
  • Step 13: Upon selecting a subscription plan, you will be redirected to the payment page.
  • Step 14: Once payment is completed, you will be redirected to the “My Music List” page, where you can verify that the work has been uploaded.
  • Step 15: Click on your uploaded music to view the detailed information and confirm that the work has been uploaded to Web3, take note of your music’s NID number.

Verifying Traceability

  • Step 16: Add your NID number from Step 15 to the end of the following link (https://verify.numbersprotocol.io/asset-profile?nid=) to view the provenance of your uploaded music on Numbers Protocol’s verify engine. You will be directed to the asset profile page.
  • Step 16: This record includes all metadata and a unique identifier, providing transparent proof of your music’s origin and ownership.

Sharing Your Music

  • Step 17: With traceability established, you can share your music through A.V. Mapping’s platform or by sharing the asset profile page, ensuring listeners and collaborators are aware of its verified origin.
